<p>An image sensor (12) inside this displacement detection device receives reflected light produced by reflection of illuminating light of a light-emitting part (11) from the surface of a moving object, scans reflected light which has been received cyclically according to a timing signal, doing so in cyclical fashion according to a timing signal to create an image, deriving the amount of displacement of the moving object from the amount of displacement of the scanned image, and outputting the amount of displacement, and the timing signal. The speed of motion of the moving object can be appropriately adjusted thereby.</p> |
