PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of eliminating wastefulness associated with the occurrence of misprint caused by mistaking the kind of paper in a paper cassette, or time waste resulting from selecting the kind of paper or selecting the number of printed sheets due to a printing error, and contributing to efficiency in work.SOLUTION: A recording device includes a lower side cassette 51 which is provided so to be insertable in/removable from a device body 2 and in which paper P is stored, and a lower cassette sensor 35 which detects insertion/removal of the cassette. A controller 65 detects whether the lower side cassette 51 is inserted/removed since printing is finished the last time. When printing this time, if the controller determines that the lower side cassette 51 is inserted/removed since printing is finished the last time, it allows a user to select processing by displaying an alert "there is possibility that the kind of paper is changed after the last printing. Do you continue printing ?" for the user. |
