PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating machine that can reliably discharge drain water while suppressing cost of a drainage pipe.SOLUTION: An operating machine includes: an engine 12; an exhaust gas flow path 30 in which an exhaust gas of the engine 12 flows; an exhaust port 27a that discharges the exhaust gas inside the exhaust gas flow path 30 outside; a drainage pipe 50 that discharges water accumulated inside the exhaust gas flow path 30 outside; and an opening and closing mechanism 60 that closes the drainage pipe 50 when a temperature atmosphere inside the exhaust gas flow path 30 becomes a high temperature condition, and opens the drainage pipe 50 when the temperature atmosphere inside the exhaust gas flow path 30 becomes a lower temperature condition having a lower temperature atmosphere than the high temperature condition.
