PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus where the remaining battery power thereof as well as the remaining battery power of its communication partner is taken into account.SOLUTION: A second radio communication device 12 has less power consumption than a first radio communication device 11. Selecting circuits 15 and 16 select either the first radio communication device or the second radio communication device according to a selection signal. A detection circuit 14a detects the remaining power of a first battery 18. A configuration circuit 14b sets a threshold for the remaining power of the first battery 18. A controller 13 determines, on the basis of data supplied from a communication partner on the remaining power of a second battery of the communication partner, the remaining power of the second battery. A selection signal generating circuit 14c compares the remaining power of the first battery detected by the detection circuit and the threshold set in the configuration circuit when the remaining power of the second battery determined by the controller 13 is sufficient, and generates a selection signal for selecting the second radio communication device and supplies the signal to the selecting circuit if the remaining power of the first battery is insufficient. |
