PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that enables easy operation of specifying an area in an image as intended.SOLUTION: Provided is a user interface which presents multiple candidate small areas superimposed on a target image, and allows a user to select a desired small area therefrom. The small areas are formed by partitioning the target image with a prescribed pattern (pattern partition), or by grouping together pixels on the basis of features such as color, brightness and edges (over-partition). The user can change the size of the small areas and limit the number of small areas superimposed and displayed on the target image. |
