PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a device and a method for detecting a mobile object position, and a computer program, which enable accurately detecting a mobile object position based on self-contained navigation information.SOLUTION: A mobile object position detecting system is configured to: obtain self-contained navigation information for the vehicle; identify a current location link 61, on which a current location candidate representing a candidate for the current vehicle location is located, and adjoining links 62, 63 that are connected to the current location link 61; compare the self-contained navigation information for the vehicle, link data for the current location link 61, and link data for the adjoining links 62, 63; and detect a current location of a vehicle by updating the current location candidate based on the result of the comparison. |
