PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an opening ratio of a liquid crystal panel by narrowing the width of a black matrix provided along a data line in a lateral electric field type liquid crystal display device in which a homogeneously-oriented liquid crystal is rotated by a lateral electric field substantially parallel to a substrate applied between a pixel electrode and a common electrode to perform display.SOLUTION: A source pixel electrode connected to a source electrode is extended along a data line. A storage capacitance electrode formed in the same layer as the data line is formed on a neighboring scanning line so as to be overlapped on the neighboring scanning line. The source pixel electrode is arranged so as to be connected to the storage capacitance electrode and a pixel along one side. An interlayer film is formed on the source pixel electrode. A pixel electrode and a common electrode formed of a transparent conductive film are formed on the interlayer film. |
