PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric tool capable of more appropriately setting a detection time whose interval is a base for determination of an abnormality.SOLUTION: A control circuit estimates, based on the rotational speed of a motor, the output interval of a sensor signal that informs existence of position information variations from a hall element as a sensor unit, and sets its output interval as an abnormality detection time of during abnormal conditions. The control circuit determines it abnormal if a next sensor signal is not checked within the foregoing detection time after the foregoing sensor signal from the hall element has been actually detected. The control circuit, then, sets the abnormality detection time shorter as the rotational speed of the motor is faster, while sets the foregoing abnormality detection time longer as the rotational speed of the motor is slower. |
