PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tube leak inspection apparatus capable of easily locating tube leaks in a heat exchanger of a boiler or the like, and to provide a tube leak inspection method.SOLUTION: The tube leak inspection apparatus for locating leaks in fluid piping mounted in a heat exchanger includes: an infrared sensor unit which receives infrared rays radiated from within the heat exchanger under test; an image data generator unit which generates image data from a reception signal of the infrared rays received by the infrared sensor unit; and an output unit which presents the image data generated by the image data generator unit as a temperature distribution for each region in a furnace from which infrared rays were received by the infrared sensor unit.
