摘要 The present invention relates to a method in a driver for a gas discharge lamp operating at a drive frequency. The driver includes a transition mode filter connected to a first terminal of the gas discharge lamp and a transition mode full bridge drive circuit connected to a second terminal of the gas discharge lamp. The transition mode full bridge drive circuit comprises first and second high frequency transistors and first and second low frequency transistors arranged in pairs including a high frequency transistor and a low frequency transistor, the pair of transistors alternatingly switched between an activated state and a deactivated state. Deactivating (S53) of the high frequency transistor in an activated pair of transistors is performed at a first point in time determined by a first time interval from a deactivating (S51) of the low frequency transistor in the same activated pair of transistors. Activating (S55, S56) of the deactivated pair of transistors is performed following deactivation of previously activated pair of transistors.
