Laparoscopic needle holder that facilitates suturing during surgery is comprised of a foldable riser piece (1, 2), moved by the reciprocal movements of a slider (12). During knot forming process, the slider (5) is pushed and the riser piece (1, 2), placed on the distal part of the needle holder, is elevated and used to stretch and wound the suture material around the needle holder with avoiding it sliding off. In order to release the suture material, slider (12) is pulled and the riser piece (1, 2) is leveled and the wounded suture material slides off of the smooth outer sheath (5) of the needle holder enabling a knot formation. |
