The machining program-generating device has an input detecting unit which is designed to determine whether the data are required for the execution of a simulation of the machining program which contains the machining procedures, in which the input elements are inputted, where the input elements are represented on an input screen. A simulation image-display unit is designed to represent a simulation image of the machining procedure, if the input detection unit detects that the data is inputted. The input data are shown on a workpiece profile or a tool mold.
