PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air battery including, in an air electrode layer, a carbon material where the number of starting points of oxygen reduction reaction is greater than that of a conventional carbon material.SOLUTION: An air battery comprises at least: an air electrode; a negative electrode; and an electrolyte layer interposed between the air electrode and the negative electrode.
