EVALUATION METHOD OF SPRING MATERIAL FOR CONNECTOR TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method of spring material for a connector terminal, which allows a spring material for a connector terminal to be properly evaluated.SOLUTION: The initial bearing strength and the residual stress ratio after a heat resistance test of a reference spring material are measured in advance for reference. The product of the bearing strength and the residual stress ratio represents the residual stress value as a reference. The initial bearing strength and the residual stress ratio after a heat resistance test of a spring material to be evaluated are then measured for comparison with the reference residual stress value. Through the comparison in evaluation, it is determined whether the spring material can be used as a spring material for a connector terminal.
