PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and easily confirm the braking performance of a press machine.SOLUTION: A braking performance confirmation device includes a speed detecting means, a stop command detecting means, a stop time measuring means, a maximum stop time computing means, and an evaluating means. The speed detecting means detects the driving speed of a slide. The stop command detecting means detects that the stop of the slide is instructed. The stop time measuring means measures a stop time until the stop of the slide when the stop command is detected. The maximum stop time computing means computes an estimated stop time when the slide is driven at a maximum driving speed based on the driving speed and stop time of the slide after detecting the stop command. The evaluating means evaluates the performance of a brake by comparing the estimated stop time computed by the maximum stop time computing means with a preset threshold value. |
