PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can improve the accuracy of determination of the presence or absence of an ink droplet by a method different from conventional methods.SOLUTION: A plurality of nozzles of a nozzle row of an inkjet recording apparatus include a nozzle in which a distance 50a from LED51 to a flight path 42a of an ink droplet 42 in a light path from LED51 to PD52 is different from a distance 60a from LED61 to the flight path 42a of the ink droplet 42 in a light path from LED61 to PD62. When determining the presence or absence of the ink droplet 42 discharged from the nozzle in which the distance 50a is different from the distance 60a, a controller of the inkjet recording apparatus determines based on the output of PD52 depending on the light emitted by LED51 when the distance 50a is longer than the distance 60a, or determines based on the output of PD62 depending on the light emitted by LED61 when the distance 50a is shorter than the distance 60a. |
