PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of ammonia attack in the cooling pipe of a condenser.SOLUTION: In an ammonia attack prevention method for preventing ammonia attack generated in the cooling pipe 5 of a condenser 3 for condensing exhaust steam, by taking out a part of water condensed by the condenser 3 and spraying the water toward the cooling pipe 5, ammonia in the exhaust steam near the cooling pipe 5 is diluted and an ammonia concentration is reduced. The water is sprayed from the water supply nozzle 13 of a water spray device 11 toward the cooling pipe 5 by using the water spray device 11 including a water supply pipe 12 having one end connected to the condensation pipe 10 of the condenser 3 and the other end pulled into the condenser 3 and a water supply nozzle 13 attached to the part pulled into the condenser 3 of the water supply pipe 12.
