The invention relates to a welding unit (1), comprising a connection (27) for a welding torch (7) for performing a welding process, a power source (2) for supplying the welding torch (7) with a welding current, a control device (4), and an on/off device (18), formed by a touchscreen (21) and connected to said control device (4), for setting/displaying parameters, functions and the like. In order to make the welding unit (1) as easy to operate as possible and allow parameters to be changed quickly on the touchscreen (21), the control device (4) is designed for the sequential and variable setting/display of parameters in a main area (28) of the touchscreen (21), wherein the parameters than can be set are prominently displayed in the centre of the main area (28). |
