<p>The present invention relates to a rotational scrap iron separator and to a scrap iron sorting device using same, and the rotational scrap iron separator comprises: a cylindrically shaped device body, through an inlet port at one end of which is introduced scrap iron to which extraneous material is attached, and through a discharge port at the other end of which is discharged separated scrap iron and extraneous material; a drive means for rotating the device body; and a plurality of impacting and guiding plates which are secured to the inner circumferential surface of the device body and are formed so as to project towards the centre, and which are arranged radially on the inner circumferential surface of the device body and arranged in the length direction of the device body. Here, when the device body rotates, the plurality of impacting and guiding plates support the scrap iron to which the extraneous material is attached, and guide same to rise to a predetermined height from the floor of the inner circumferential surface and fall while so doing, in such a way as to repeatedly apply fall-induced impact forces to the scrap iron to which extraneous material is attached and so separate the attached iron and extraneous material from each other.</p> |
