<p>Provided is an electrophotographic photosensitive body having high rotation precision and high rotation strength when used in an existing machine and having excellent production costs, as a result of improving a drive force transmission section of a flange. This electrophotographic photosensitive body is used detachably mounted to a device main body of an electrophotographic-application device, while embedded in a process cartridge, and comprises, on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical conductive base body: a photosensitive drum (2) formed by a photosensitive layer including a photoconductive material; and a gear flange (1) or a flange, fitted to an opening end section of said drum and which transmits rotational drive force from the device main body to the photosensitive drum (2). A driven-side motive force transmission unit (5), comprising three hemispherical engagement protrusions (4) and a cylinder (3) which are arranged in concentric circles having as the center thereof the center axis of the photosensitive drum (2), is formed on the surface on the rotational drive force-receiving side of the gear flange (1) or flange.</p> |
