Some embodiments provide a method that displays, by a computing device, a progress bar that visually displays a completion status indicator for a task being performed, the completion status indicator representing a completion status of the task. In some embodiments, the method 5 determines a triviality threshold that indicates when the progress bar is to be displayed as showing completion of the task. The triviality threshold can indicate a time prior to completion of the task.
