PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse generation circuit that implements a satisfactorily precise leading edge of pulses by means of a differentiator excelling in impulse/step response.SOLUTION: A pulse signal processing circuit 1 includes at least one differentiator for differentiating an input signal to capture a leading edge of a pulse, and an adder/subtracter for adding/subtracting at least a signal from the differentiator to output a short pulse signal. A balun circuit 2, which is a center-tapped balun circuit, receives the short pulse signal from the pulse signal processing circuit 1 to generate differential signals of an arbitrary DC level. A mixer circuit 3, which is a double balanced mixer circuit, superimposes a carrier on the differential signals generated from the balun circuit 2 to generate differential pulse signals. This generates short width pulses while suppressing generation of short pulses with the carrier superimposed and generation of high frequency components caused by the use of a differential waveform. |
