PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer showing a higher capacity of preventing scales of calcium carbonate and iron hydroxide, compared to a conventional product, when used for water treatment.SOLUTION: An amino group-containing copolymer is provided, which includes a specified amino group-containing structural unit and a specified carboxy group-containing structural unit, and includes the amino group-containing structural unit by 0.1 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less based on 100 mass% of the amino group-containing copolymer, and the carboxy group-containing structural unit by 80 mass% or more and 99.9 mass% or less based on 100 mass% of the copolymer. The amino group-containing copolymer has a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 or more and 50,000 or less. |
