PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness of a display image in a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: All or some of liquid crystal pixels in a pixel array in which a plurality of liquid crystal pixels are arranged in a matrix are each configured as a segmented pixel which comprises: a plurality of liquid crystal segments whose liquid crystal cell gaps are different from each other; and a plurality of pixel circuit parts which drive liquid crystal cells of the plurality of liquid crystal segments, respectively. Display with good responsiveness is realized in the liquid crystal segments having shorter cell gaps.
