In some aspects, a side rail for a medical table includes an elongated body having a height and a width that are configured to be received by a medical accessory, and the elongated body is formed of a material having a modulus of elasticity that is about 50 gigapascals to about 150 gigapascals and a yield strength that is about 40 x 107 pascals to about 120 x 107 pascals.
