PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to input characters with efficiency and select other characters as often as needed by a familiar operating method.SOLUTION: For a character input during which a keyboard 10 having an array of character keys 11 to which a plurality of characters are assigned is displayed on a touch panel 1, while a touch operation on any character key 11 is received, a selected character is changed in a predetermined order in response to a tap operation or slide operation in a position different from the touched character key 11, and the character selected when the touch operation on the character key 11 is released is specified as an input character. If another tap operation or slide operation is made while the touch operation on the character key 11 is continued, another input character can be selected in response to the operation. |
