The present disclosure relates to a terminal device, a relay device, an information-processing method, a program, and a contents identification system capable of using a plurality of ACR servers without an increase in the number of ACR clients implemented on the terminal device. The terminal device, which is a first aspect of the present disclosure, is provided with: a detector for detecting a relay device; a regenerating unit for regenerating content; a transmitter for transmitting the regenerated contents to the detected relay device; and an acquisition unit for acquiring a response, which corresponds to the result of contents identification, received in reply from an identification server to the relay device in accordance with a query, the result of contents identification being obtained by the relay device, which extracts signature data indicating a characteristic of the contents from the contents, generates the query including at least the extracted signature data, and transmits the generated query to an identification server device to request identification of the contents. The terminal device, which is a first aspect of the present disclosure, can be applied to a contents playback device such as a TV set. |
