<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for gas capable of preventing a gas from leaking outside even if a gap is created due to dust or the like between the contact surface of the connection tube of the socket and the tapered surface of a plug which comes into press contact with the contact surface, and the gas leaks from the gap. <P>SOLUTION: On the inner peripheral surface of the right end of a body 2A, a first seal 21 is provided for forming an airtight seal between the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of the plug 10. On the outer peripheral surface of the right end of the body 2A, a second seal 22 is provided for forming an airtight seal between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of an operation tube 5. On the outer peripheral surface of the operation tube 5, a third seal 23 is provided for forming an airtight seal between the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of a cover 2B.
