摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely recycle metal waste at a maximum without new formation of waste and the deterioration of equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A metal powder as metal waste is mixed with other solid fuels and the mixed fuel is introduced into a cement firing furnace as a fuel for cement firing and is burnt. The other solid fuels may be oily sludge, biomass, and meat-and-bone meal and can be introduced into the lower end and the upper end 24 of a cement kiln 9, a calcination furnace 22 or the like. The metal powder is treated and can be simultaneously effectively utilized as a resource for obtaining heat energy, and the metal oxide formed on burning the metal powder comes to part of a cement raw material and is incorporated into cement. Since the metal powder is mixed with other solid fuels, the frequency of contact of the metal powder with conveyor piping and the like can be decreased and the abrasion of the conveyor piping and the like can be prevented.
