PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, more simplifying workpiece for investigating a cause of trouble. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a timing chart log memory 201 storing a timing chart which is information time-series showing the operation timing of a drive part 21 designated from a control part 200 and a detection signal output from a detection part 22; a USB insert detection part 207 for detecting whether a USB memory M is inserted in a USB slot 23; and a transfer part 208 for transferring a timing chart log stored in the timing chart log memory 201 to the USB memory M when the USB insert detection part 207 detects that the USB memory M is electrically connected to a USB terminal 231 of the USB slot 23.
