PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable device for properly estimating an operation in which a user intentionally inclines it, and eliminating the other operation, or its control method. SOLUTION: The portable device includes: LED 46a-46n; an acceleration sensor 45 for detecting an acceleration; and a CPU 49 for controlling a display aspect of the LED 46a-46n in response to an acceleration value detected by the acceleration sensor 45. The CPU 49 includes: an acceleration value integrating means for cumulatively integrating the acceleration values for a predetermined period; an integrated value determining means for determining whether the integrated value obtained by the acceleration value integrating means for the predetermined period exceeds a first threshold value for indicating a constant inclined state from a stationary state of the acceleration sensor 45 or not; and a display controlling means for controlling LED 46a-46n so as to present the predetermined display aspect if the integrated value determining means determines that the integrated value exceeds the first threshold value.
