PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage the area of the joint part of a pair of separation membranes in a bag-shaped separation membrane. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a bag-shaped separation membrane, a bag-shaped separation membrane, which includes a pair of separation membranes and a spacer present between the pair of separation membranes, is manufactured. The method includes the following steps: a step in which the spacer is arranged between the pair of separation membranes to pile up the pair of separation membranes and the spacer; and a step in which at least either the separation membranes or the spacer is fused by heating from the outside to join the pair of separation membranes together to gain the bag-shaped separation membrane.
