<p>According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes: a generator configured to generate an audio signal; an instructing module configured to issue an instruction to search for song name information relating to the audio signal according to an external manipulation; a cutting-out module configured to cut out a portion of the audio signal in an interval around a time of issuance of the search instruction; a removing module configured to remove a silent portion in the cutting-out interval; a sending module configured to send information in the silent-portion-removed cut-out interval to a server; and a receiver configured to receive a search result of song name information relating to the information in the silent-portion-removed cut-out interval from the server.</p> |
