PURPOSE: An adhesive composition is provided to have excellent heat resistance and flexibility and to have excellent adhesion to the interface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive composition comprises a hydrocarbon resin elastomer of which the ratio of a monomer unit having a double bond to the back bone per the total monomer units is 1 mole% or less and a solvent. The amount of the elastomer included is 1-20 parts by weight per 100.0 parts by weight of the hydrocarbon. A treating method of a substrate comprises a step of spreading the adhesive composition on a substrate (1) and a step of forming an adhesive layer (2) on the substrate by heating the adhesive composition.
