DRAWING DIES WITH IMPROVED LIFETIME

PURPOSE: A die for wire-drawing with the improved lifetime is provided to obtain a higher strength improving effect with a work hardening method in comparison with an existing circular die for wire-drawing and to minimize a strain difference between a central portion and a surface unit of a material. CONSTITUTION: A die for wire-drawing with the improved lifetime includes a tip (10) and a case (20) surrounding the tip. The tip and the case are joined by a shrinkage fitting method inserting the tip into the heated case and cooling the tip and the case. The tip is usually formed of a tungsten carbide (WC), and the case is usually formed of steel. The tip includes a bell unit (11), an approach unit (12), a bearing unit (13), and a relief unit (14). The case includes a receiving unit in which the tip is inserted and a withdrawing unit connected to the relief unit.
