PURPOSE: A local area data relay device is provided to allow the local area data relay device which is connected to a projector or a TV to directly handle keyboard and mouse commands of a remote desktop or laptop computer, thereby flexibly operating it according to the place, environments, or situations in which the data relay device is used. CONSTITUTION: A local area data relay device (200) includes USB ports (250), USB controllers and a driver (240). After processing key code data and mouse data which are inputted through the USB ports according to the given communications protocol, the driver transmits the processed data to a source device through a WiFi network. A data relay device includes an Operating System (OS). The USB ports connect the data relay device with a USB keyboard (400) and a USB mouse (410). If the data relay device is operated, a screen which is captured from the source device (100) is outputted to a TV which is a playback device (300).
