PURPOSE: A spoke type torque sensor for an in-wheel motor is provided to measure the torque applied to wheels when an electric wheelchair and a walker are stopped on an inclined road and supplies a current corresponding to the measured torque to the motor, thereby preventing the wheels from being slid backward by the weight of a user or the gradient of a road when restarting the electric wheel chair or the walker. CONSTITUTION: A spoke type torque sensor (10) for an in-wheel motor includes a hub, a rim (12), a spoke, and strain gauges (14). The hub is formed into a ring shape, and the center thereof is penetrated. The rim is installed on the outer side of the hub. The spoke is extended from hub to the rim in all directions and connects the hub and rim to be integrated. The strain gauges are installed on both sides of the spoke.
