<p>PURPOSE: A method for detecting late return of a shared vehicle and an apparatus thereof are provided to estimate late return of a shared vehicle, thereby effectively managing a vehicle sharing service. CONSTITUTION: A computer system determines first reservation end time of a shared vehicle reserved by a first member of a vehicle sharing service (S102). The computer system sets the location of the shared vehicle at first predetermined time before first reservation is ended (S104). The computer system estimates late return of the shared vehicle based on the location of the shared vehicle and the first reservation end time (S108). The computer system informs the first member of late return of the shared vehicle (S112). The computer system extends reservation of the shared vehicle of the first member.
