<p>PURPOSE: An optical waveguide forming epoxy resin composition, especially as a clad layer-forming material, has high Tg, high flexibility, and excellent patterning performance. CONSTITUTION: An epoxy resin composition contains a liquid phase epoxy resin, a solid phase resin, a solid phase resin, and a photoacid generator. The main component of the liquid phase epoxy resin represented by chemical formula 1. The content of the liquid phase epoxy resin is 50-80 wt%. In chemical formula, each of R1 and R2 is hydrogen or a methyl group; each of R3-R6 is hydrogen, a methyl group, chlorine, or bromine; and X is C2-15 alkylene or ethyleneoxy, di(ethyleneoxy), tri(ethyleneoxy), propylenoxy group, propyleneoxy propyl, or tri(propylenoxy)propyl.</p> |
