The invention relates to an installation mechanism (19) comprising a housing (20, 21) enclosing electrical connection elements (38), said housing including a cover with one front wall (27) provided with openings (28) for access to the electrical connection elements, side walls (23) that border said front wall and at least one tooth (33) for hooking to a support mechanism (10) which protrudes outward from the housing and which is borne by a flex tab (32) extending substantially in the plane of one of the side walls, attached to said cover by an attachment end (31). According to the invention, each tooth is situated between said attachment end of the flex tab and said front wall of the cover.
