PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for guiding friction welding base metals are provided to prevent the cross joint of the base metals by supporting the base metals at a moment when the base metals are contacted. CONSTITUTION: A first base metal(70) is fixed on a first chuck. A second base metal(71) is fixed on a second chuck(41). Motors(20,21) rotate to rotate the first and second base metals. The second base metal moves towards the first base metal so that the base metals can be contacted to each other. While the base metals are contacted, one or more base metals are supported so that the cross joint of the base metals can be prevented. The base metals stop rotating. The second base metal is pressed towards the first base metal to attach the two base metals. |
