<p>PURPOSE: A skid resistance measurement device for road surfaces and a measuring method thereof are provided to accurately analyze skid resistance, i.e. road surface friction, in longitudinal and traverse directions on a lane. CONSTITUTION: A skid resistance measurement device comprises a mobile mechanism, a first test unit (10), and a second test unit (20). The first test unit is installed in the mobile mechanism, and outputs a first measuring signal to measure skid resistance in a longitudinal direction along the travelling direction of the mobile mechanism at regular intervals when the mobile mechanism travels along the road surface. The second test unit is installed in the mobile mechanism, and outputs a second measuring signal to measure the skid resistance in a traverse direction on the road at regular intervals while the first test unit measures using the first measuring signal. The mobile mechanism includes a control unit and a flatness measuring sensor (40). The control unit controls turning on/off of the first test unit and the second test unit, and analyzes the skid resistance on the road surface by receiving feedback signals on the first and second measuring signals. The flatness measuring sensor measures the flatness of the road surface in the longitudinal direction when the mobile mechanism travels along the road surface.</p> |
