608,011. Automatic firearms. BREVETS AERO-MECANIQUES SOC. ANON. Feb. 14, 1946, No. 4603. Convention date, July 14, 1945. [Class 92 (ii)] Relates to automatic firearms of the kind in which the breech-block 11 is locked in the closed position by a device 50 and in which longitudinally displaceable sliders 21, located between the breech-block and the breech casing 12, control the unlocking after a shot has been fired. According to the invention, rocking of the breech-block at the moment of firing is prevented by providing thereon and on the breech casing surfaces 32, 29, which bear against each other when the breech is closed. By such an arrangement the sliders are not subjected to any jamming action between the breech-block and breech casing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes also a construction in which the sliders are guided between upper and lower surfaces of the breech casing. In another construction the breech-block is bored for the passage of the sliders which are circular in cross-section. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
