<p>An article (50) of footwear, especially a shoe, comprises a fastener (10) comprises a first member (11) which is detachably interconnectable with a second member (15). The members (11,15) form an interlocked relationship by the male member (12) penetrating the female member (14) under an applied force in a first insertion direction (35). 10 During penetration of the female member (14) by the male member (12), deformation of the resilient wing (28 or 29) occurs to permit said penetration. In the interlocked relationship, the resilient wing (28 or 29) returns to or towards its original shape, and resists disengagement of the male member (12) from the female member (14) by a force applied to pull the male member 15 (12) out of the female member (14).</p> |
