PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prove a production method capable of producing spherical metal particles stably in a large quantity at a low cost. SOLUTION: An inert gas is fed into a high-temperature gas generation part 1, where the inert gas is directly heated with a combustion burner 13 to generate a high-temperature non-oxidizing gas, and this gas is injected into a sphering furnane 2. A metal powder is fed from a raw material feeder 15 into the high-temperature non-oxidizing gas flowing as a descending stream in the sphering furnace 2 and is sphered by heat melting. The exhaust gas from the sphering furnace 2 is sent through a heat recovery part 3 to a particle collection part 4, where the spherical metal particles are collected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
