Software update of ONT's in an FTTH network by means of a TR-069 protocol

The method involves performing software updating of a gateway (GTW) and an Internet access box i.e. set top box (STB), according to a TR-069 protocol by an auto configuration server (ACS). Software updating of optical network termination equipment (ONT) is performed according to the TR-069 protocol by the configuration server and according to OMCI protocol through central optical equipment (OLT) by a network management system sever (AMS). The software updating of the optical network termination equipment is identified by a version number of two fields. An independent claim is also included for a fiber to the home network.
