<p>The rack (1) has support arms (3) connected at a central support column (2) by a joint (17) i.e. sliding joint, for supporting a clothes line. The support arms are pivotable between an upright closing position and a bevelled horizontally operating position. A line guide component (6) is movably led along the support arms. An operating mechanism has an elongated, bendable pulling element to actuate the line guide component such that the line guide component is pulled outward along the support arms by the pulling element when the support arms are folded. The pulling element is selected from a group comprising rope (8), cord, pull cord and drawstring.</p> |
