PURPOSE: An electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided to provide a nonaqueous secondary battery with excellent load properties, charging and discharging cycle performance, adhesion, and shutdown performance. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a mixture layer containing an active material and a porous insulating layer. The insulating layer is formed on the mixture layer, includes a resin with a crosslinked structure and an inorganic particle. A mixed layer including components of the insulating layer and components of the mixture layer is placed on the interface of the insulating layer and the mixture layer. The thickness of the mixed layer is 3-15 um. The roughness (Ra) of the insulating layer is 0.2-0.4 um and the thickness is 3-50 um.
