PURPOSE: An apparatus for gathering and transferring AP information and a method thereof are provided to minimize the time required for an STA (Station) to spend in channel scan. CONSTITUTION: An AP information processing apparatus (100) gathers AP information about at least more than one surrounding an access point (AP) through at least one of wired communication and wireless communication. The AP information processing apparatus receives AP information request from an STA through the wireless communication. The AP information processing apparatus transmits the requested AP information to the STA. The AP information is the information that the STA requires to access the AP.
