PURPOSE: A method and a system for generating a source code of a template-based database input and output program are provided to increase the quality of the program source code by using a program source code template reference-coded by a skilled developer. CONSTITUTION: A reference template code is properly generated according to a type of a program to be generated. A program code that a user desires is automatically generated by mapping the meta data information of a database to the reference template code.
